Teaching therapists how to start groups in private practice
I teach therapists like yourself how to grow your business, make more money, and avoid burnout through adding groups to your current offerings in your solo or group private practices.
About me
Hi! I’m Sara Schreiber, the founder and director of Collaborative Minds Psychotherapy LLC, which I started as a solo practice in 2021, and then grew into a group practice in 2022. I’m an LCSW and a Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP).
My first job as a social worker was at the Mental Health Service Corps, where I was placed at SBH Health System’s Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center and where I created an in-house mental health clinic, which included marketing my services to the pediatricians I worked with and the patients they served.
My next job was at The Child & Family Institute where I balanced being a full-time therapist with the dual roles of Intake Director and Group Therapy Director, further finessing my marketing and practice-building skills, along with my clinical skills.
I started my solo private practice in order to have more financial freedom and serve my clients in a way that felt more authentic to me and my values, and then started my group practice as another values-driven decision, when my family’s needs began to change and I needed to have fewer clinical hours, but didn’t want to sacrifice my income from my solo practice.
I am passionate about helping other therapists meet their goals in private practice, whether those goals are growing their solo practice, building a group practice, adding on groups and workshops to their practice, or building more financial security within their businesses.
Clinically, I specialize in working with teens and young adults through both individual and group therapy, and I offer clinical consultation services for group therapy, specifically for those running groups for teenagers. You can learn more about my work through my instagram page, @groups_in_private_practice
When I’m not seeing clients or working on my practice, you can find me hanging out with my husband and three children near our home in New Jersey (probably at the park). Being a mom has altered the way I view my work, and I am especially passionate about working with other parent-therapists and helping them have the practice they want without sacrificing time with their families.
